Delighted to see the advert for John Black & Sons. Their Caithness Homespun blankets for warmth, WEIGHT & wear takes me back. I was brought up in Golspie in the late 50's early 60's and the memories of being 'pinned' to the bed by these monsters is still as clear to me today. Oh but we were happy.

This lady resembles my grandma, who was Catherine McLeod nee Sutherland and latterly lived at 44 Henrietta Strret, Wick. I could be mistaken, of course and would welcome any clarification you can provide.

believe it to have been built onto the old crofthouse at the back in about 1920 then being rrenovated to its current purpose in 1973
