Your photos were well worth the wait. Some fantastic old ones of Wick and the countryside. Well done!

I think you are right Torvaig. Well spotted.
Super photos, Highland Laddie! I thoroughly enjoyed looking at them all!
I am living for today, always remembering yesterday, and looking forward to tomorrow!
They all appear to be coming through now - many thanks.
What wonderful pictures. I think Torvaig is right about Bill Mowat, Lybster and Draper shop in Wick. His wife was Aileen Mowat who started the Wick Arion Choir. A daughter I think an actress ?
Many thanks,
Trinkie
I visited wick bout 17years ago and stay with Ann Webster in her house beside the harbour i would love to get in touch with here can anyone help thank you, a belfast girl, jean stone(murray)
I wonder if this was anything to do with the Stirkoke rifle club as the man with the bonnet behind Bill Mowat looks awfully like my uncle - Willie Steven. Does anybody think that the man in the middle front with the dark jacket may look a bit like George Dunnet? Maybe this man is his father.
I love these photos.

Oh my goodness! The man on the second left is my handsome uncle - John Steven of Puldagon. The man third from left I believe is Willie Swanson Pennyland Farm Watten (either that or he's sixth from the left), fifth left I am sure is Bobby Brown (Jessie Brown Pennyland's husband) and I am nearly sure that the man second from right is my second cousin John Steven (Borgie Hotel)
Highland Laddie, these photos are great, thank you so much for posting them.

I am sure that the fellow on the left of the second row down is David Innes Achairn, Stirkoke and the fellow on the other end of that row could be Don Sutherland Blacksmith. The girl third from the left in the third row down could be Margaret Simpson Haster.
Another lovely photo.

All these pictures are great. I love browsing them, and the ones of Thurso. They give a real sense of what Caithness is all about - community. Keep posting them.
