It may appear complicated but it is not in fact.

The problem is we have now got so many different voting systems and unless you are prepared to read the explanations you may be stuck in the "First Past The Post" old system such as used still by Westminster. The not to be forgotten Community Councils. If they have elections and many do to due to low numbers volunteering they use First Past the Post.
So perhaps it is not the complications causing a problem as reluctance to take10 minutes to read up on it.
At least the Scottish Parliament system means more people can get some representation rather than feel they wasted their vote.
