    Default Singing seals

    Have often heard them snore,grumble,rumble but have noticed that they seem to be singing.
    What is the long drawn out call,WOOOOOOOO that echoes back off of the cliffs and sounds quite eerie, all about?
    Is it the males calling to their harem or just a social thing?
    Would appreciate any sensible explanation.
