Ask to see the complaint? Maybe you've been the victim of misidentity? To some folk, all dogs look the same......

Are you getting reported or just a verbal warning?

How awful for you, not to mention the worry a situation like this causes.
No point in saying not too worry as you will do until you find out what it is all about...........Hopefully a genuine mistake and not some pea brain having some sick fun.

some folk have nowt better to do, than to cause trouble for other folk, fingers crossed for you it will sort itself out.

Some people in this world just are not happy unless they are hurting others.......sad really.

It seems a bit much putting a note through your door about a complaint and not saying what it is about.
Then on top of that, no one is available to tell you what the problem is.
They should at least have given you the courtesy of leaving you a contact number so you could speak to someone about it.
I think you should get an apology for the way you have been informed of the Complaint if nothing else.
All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

You could be falsely accused with misidentification. If you are doing what is correct, ignore all the charges and let people prove that you are the guilty one.

Are you sure it is Genuine, or could it just be a Hoax. By the way you describe the way you received the note it sounds slight suspicious to say the least for I feel sure that if they can not contact you for any reason and they put it in writing they have to tell you what the complain is. Dont take what I say as 100% correct for I could be wrong. So I would suggest that if you Phone him then just say :-

"This is "Your Name" and I have been advised that you wish to contact me is this correct?"

Then see what they come back with.

Find out who reported you and set your dog on them.

So, wait till I get this right. The dog warden put a note through your door, asking you to get in touch with them. That note made no reference to any specific complaint ( which is the correct way to go about things, Data Protection and all that). What you dont say is if the note even mentioned a complaint at all. It obviously didn't say that someone was trying to make trouble for you! So, aren't you jumping the gun a bit here? Wouldn't it have been better to wait until you had at least spoken to the dog warden before venting your spleen? Maybe they just want to lavish praise on you for being a responsible dog owner. Unlikely, I know, but we live in interesting times.

Yes interesting times indeed in more ways than one, the stupidity of the warden leaving himself wide open to abuse. I rather think someone is playing a joke. Will be very interesting as how one can make a complaint when the dog is so well looked after, no poo-ing on the public thoroughfare, no barking indoors, no disturbing neighbours and is fed.
Well if it had been me I would be up in arms and -------help the dog warden and all the associated powers that be.

    Default Complaint about my dog

Had same complaint made some years ago down south, Council Card put in door saying complaint made about dog, phone this number, which i did, they sent out person who checked, and found that the dog only barked when someone came to the door, which was as he should. They would not inform me who made the complaint, but i had a mole who worked for the council, and they checked and it was an elderly women four houses down the road, there was no way she could even hear the dog bark, it was no use pursuing the matter, as the poor woman was not all there. What i told the person who came out that they should investigate first, before making allegations, as i could send in complaints about any one i did not like, just to stir it. This took place in a row of bungalows in a village in the country. Not even a town.
