Had to have one of my dogs put to sleep this week and went local vets.
Was dealt with by Mr Gordon who was both sympathetic and diplomatic in discussing options open to us.

I had dog cremated and it turned out to be cheaper than if I had gone to one of "pet undertakers.

So for once, well done to McGregors

We had to call McGregor's vets out to our beautiful cat in the early hours, nearly 2 weeks ago. They didn't make it to the house in time, and she died just as they arrived, but they were very nice and sympathetic.

Had to call them out a few years ago, to have my other cat put to sleep and they dealt with her in such a sympathetic way as well. They have always come out as quickly as they can, whatever the hour.

Sorry to hear about your dog - it's such a difficult time, isn't it.

Sorry to hear about your doggie, Socrates. I am glad the vet handled it well. A couple of years ago, whilst I was at the vets, an elderly couple came in to have their dog put to sleep. The vet was atrocious, so very insensitive. I promptly switched to another vet.
