Default why do they do that

why do dogs feel the need to eat sheep poo ,my lot near enough dragged me off my feet this morning to be first at the fresh still steaming poo. Its not like they dont have plenty of good food. their coats are all shiny and eyes bright so cant see that its because they are lacking in certain nutrients like ive been told.Any other thoughts?

Most of my lot will eat any type of poo! If they don't eat it they roll in it!
    Lovely!

My two love a bit of poo....yeuk!!! Think it's just a doggy thing...one in particular loves to roll in it if she gets the chance.

My two are the same, cat poo is their favourite. The smell is enough to make you move out to the garage!

The reason - minerals and salts - horse 'apples' are particularly good.
