I am trying to find out about a property called Carsgo and the relationship with the Stewart family . I would be grateful for information as to where this property is located, is it still called Carsgo and any information about the Stewart family who may have lived there.

    many thanks

Carsgoe farm currently worked by James Gunn. It was farmed for many years by John Young who was a councillor and if memory serves me right, a JP and County Convenor or some other high ranking post.
Mr Young lives nearby in a new house he built after moving out of the farm,

Thank you for the correct spelling and the information provided. i had googled Carsgo, but was not having much success.

There is a sasine for Donald Stewart of Carsgo aprox 1769 and I believe his son Neil Stewart lived there as well. Trying to confirm this Donald Stewart is the same as my ancestor, Donald Stewart who is buried in Halkirk next to his son Neil , which appears likely. The Headstones were erected by Lt Col William Stewart, later to become Major General William Stewart of Strath, their grandson and nephew.
