    Someone has sent me a wmv file and I dont know how to view it Can anyone tell me how to open it please !

    What version of Media player are you using?

    Is the file complete or has it been corrupted (ask them to resend it)

    Do you have Real player on your computer? If so try opening Real payer and dragging the file and dropping it on the player to see if it will play.

    Hi media player was out of date did an update and it's working fine now. Thanks for your help

    well done Betty. Now, why has the sound from my computer gone a bit muffled & distorted, a bit like a radio which isn't tuned in properly?

    Has the plug connecting your speakers (or whatever) been moved - slightly dislodged?
    Have you installed any new software?
