Looking in old threads about this theres seems to be a lack of them in the caithness area. I have gone through all past posts on this and no-one ever came up with a name.
Best advice is to google it.

What is the problem with the dog?

Heres a link that gives the name of a guy at the bottom of the page with an email address.Maybe you could contact him and see if he can help. Then let us all know..

If its aggression when the dog is near the food then it can be solved with a little advise,
if hes picky then its definatly solvable.

Dogs who dont eat whats infront of them is not being picky because he does not lie the food, its simply he has not done what he would do in the wild for it. HUNT.
We give them an easy option by feeding them without them having to do much for it, which is against all nature in dogs.

you need to walk him, then feed him and then give affection and in that order. A dog will scavange for food, will eat rotten meat out of a bin, so what ever we give them is fresh and they will eat it.

Agression is mind over matter with the dog, its his food, no-one will get near it withoug a confrontation.Best advice is to claim the food bowl. No im not suggesting that you try and grab for it, but use a broom, or something that is between you and dog and take the food away with it. Then if the dog does lunge at you the best he will get is a mouthfull of metal or wooden handle..

You make him back away from it and keep doing this until he gets the message thats its your food and he gets when you ready to feed him. He should be calm and preferably lying down passive when the bowl is put down on the floor.Repetition on these excersises should help with either of these two complaints .But without knowing too much theres not much advice people can give.

It may be worth giving Dave Ashpool a ring . He lives out the Mey direction and if you discuss the problems with him he will hopefully be able to help you. It's worth a try, if he is not able to do anything it is only the cost of a phonecall. Hope this information is useful and you get the problems sorted out.
