Speaker system for television

I may need this for a new television as have read reports that the sound isn't all that good.

I wouldn't have a clue where to start getting a speaker system far less set it all up!

Is there anyone who can help?

most decent hi-fi systems have scart connections on them these days allowing you to play your TV's sound through your hi-fi system. Some of the hi-fi systems are designed with TV sound in mind and come with five speakers for that surround sound effect. Hope this helps.
