Love the picture. Is there much enhancement going on?

I would like to know what you did to make the colourful pebbles stand out so much without detriment to anything else. If that makes sense.....

Or does HDR do that?

Isis, thanks for the kind comments, yes there is a fair amount of enhancement in this photograph, it's done using a technique called High Dynamic Range, and involves the combining of different exposures of the same scene.

Nice one North Light ... I managed to find the sea again. I was up in Bremerhaven on work today its lovely to smell the sea again
