Thread: Disabled Shower

    Default Disabled Shower

Can anyone tell me if there are any charities out there which would help with the fitting of a shower suitable for the disabled in a council house. We have been on the social services list for a couple of years & still no joy. We can't afford to have it fitted ourselves and it is becoming increasingly urgent.
    Any ideas please.

If you have no luck with the charity angle then I would get in touch with your local counsellor and ask them to take it up with social work.

It annoys me so so much how they drag their heels over things like this.
I hope you get something sorted, this is the last thing people should have to worry about when they are caring for someone.

If either of you have ever been in the forces or merchant navy then SSAFFA would help you.

Good advice Fran.....SSAFA are wonderful. The service connection does not have to be the person themselves. I know someone who recently had help as their late father had been in the army.
