Smile American Black and Tan Coonhound

Does anyone know if there are any breeders of American Black and Tan Coonhounds in the far North ?
I really want one o these pooches, but they seem to be confined to the Us and Canada, so puuting out feelers everywhere that i can think of where there have been Us military.
could buy a pup from the states, but if i can avoid puttin a pup thru 6 months quarantine by finding a pup in the uk or a passported one in europe, then obviously a kinder route to do.

I think that is because there is currently a shortage of 'coons in the UK.

Sorry, but if I can't have a skunk I don't see why someone should have a 'coon hound.

PS Doesn't a South African ridgeback look a bit like a coonhound?

I was having a rake around to see if I could find any in the UK but couldn't find any mention of even Uk owners. Very rare here it would seem.

with regards the ridge back - no , they are descended from a bloodhound x foxhound

I have friends in S W Germany contacting the Us bases there to see if they can track one down for me - fingers crossed.......

Perhaps when the innocent discussion of a dog breed does not elicit a couple of nudge, nudge, wink, wink posts the so called PC Brigade will be redundant.

Perhaps you can let us know when that day arrives, BoozeBurglar. I'll not be holding my breath, by the way...
