Thread: Kingfisher spotting advice

  1. #1

    Question Kingfisher spotting advice

Hi! I wonder if someone would be willing to share with me their knowledge?

I've always wanted to see a Kingfisher, but haven't got the slightest clue if they can be found in the far north or where would be best to go to try and spot one.

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Many Thanks in advance.

    Hi

I'm afraid they don't come this far north, the nearest I think is around Perth! Very occasionally one gets slightly adrift and may just turn up anywhere but it's extremely rare.

It may be worth giving the Scottish division of the RSPB a query.
