Night Porter

Mackays Hotel has a vacancy for a night porter who will look after our guests and hotel. We are looking for a person who is reliable, 100% trustworthy, flexible and able to act responsibly at all times. You would be adaptable enough to deal with customers with a polite manner whilst carrying out cleaning and using your own initiative.Our Night Porter will cover 11pm to 7 am, 3/4 nights a week plus holiday cover.As Night Porter you will be responsible for:The health and safety of Hotel Guests during the night;Checking late arrival guests in;Carrying out regular security checks;Occasional bar service and room service;Setting up for Conferences and banqueting events;Assisting with weekly cleaning tasks for the Food & Beverage Department;Preparing for breakfast and helping serve breakfast when busy, this may require working past 7amThe ideal person will have excellent communication and organisational skills and a high level of customer service.Accommodation can be availableWe are a Real Living Wage Employer and the starting rate of pay for this role is £12In line with the requirements of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
