    Question Home guard

    Hi people,
    My grandad was in the home guard WW2. I ve read a piece on a link here regarding Caithness S role in the war. It was really was an eye opener and full of details that I had never heard before. My grandad S name was GEORGE DUNNET MACKAY 8th battalion SEAFORTH highlanders. I VE got very little info on him. born in dunbeath 1905...... He was killed 2/5/1941 rank private. That was from Army Honour Roll.
    IF ANYONE can help, point me in the right direction, I d be greatful. I only have his marriage cert, no birth or death records.
