    Default Spiders

Aren't there a lot of huge spiders about these days. Must be something to do with global warming or something!! - Enjoy . . . . .

There’s good news and there’s bad news. The bad news is that there are giant spiders in the garden; the good news is that they eat New Zealand flat worms.

No, this is not a Harvestman, it looks more like a European Wolf Spider, but its hard to tell with nothing of size to guage it with. I saw a European Wolfg Spider in south of Ireland once, it was about as long as my index finger and pretty skinny, moved like lightning.

I thought it was the scariest thing I ever saw until I moved to Indiana, I have seen things I don't want to recall, I very rarely go barefoot in the garage anymore

This example (found in the Dinning Room!!) was about 60mm from leg to leg. I've seen bigger in the garden shed but didn't have a camera to hand (it had been surgically removed that day so I could play with the kids!!!!)

Not really a spider lover, but a really wonderful photo all the same.
