    Default Paul Monaghan

Well I was amused to read infamous Twitter troll Paul Monaghan complain about the level of abuse he receives on Twitter. So far he has been unmasked by the National Papers as an internet troll himself famous for putting out some quite disturbing ( for an MP ) tweets, he also has a reputation for blocking anyone, his consitutuents included who ask awkward questions. As of yet though I personally have not seen one abusive message to him maybe he has become thin skinned or to used to people fawning over him like those at RT ( Russia Today ) as he waves the flag for Chagos ignoring the crimes perpetrated by Russia agains the Chechins.

Bringing Mhairi Black to Caithness to bolster his flagging support base may excite a few of the party faithful but considering her woefully inadequate lack of surgeries for her own constituents one may ask whether she would be better off attending to the area for which she was elected rather than grand standing in areas just to raise her party profile.

He is an "interesting" man to find as ones MP. Was he selected as a paper candidate, never expected to get in?

Whatever happened to Better Together? Winding it up with no successor has left the field open to the Monanghans, Sturgeons and other fishy characters spouting all they will.

Nice to see our local representative asking the right questions. Probing the UK govt on whether they intend to use UK steel to build subs when the aircraft carriers already on order are using UK steel. Meanwhile back in Scotland our bridges are being built with Chinese steel even after TATA tended for the contract. More duplicitous grievance mongering from a man who doesn't see the hypocrisy in his actions. His party costing Scottish jobs and trying to blame Westminster.

He he also seems awfully wrapped up with Chagos and its problems appearing on RussianToday to talk about it while totally ignoring Russia's even bigger human rights breach with Chechnya.

In this universe.......note the registration numbers of a car being towed into place yesterday, and then the car set alight.

He just can't help himself a nice wee constituency office in Brora, all paid for by the taxpayer and according to the rules supposed to be free from Party Political information, but there he goes right in the front window. I'm sure the electoral commission will be having words in his shell like shortly.

This evening saw the rather unedifying spectacle of Dr Paul Monaghan besmirching the proud name of the Scots Guards in Malaya from 1948 reqouting an article from his apparent favourite new sources Russia Today he described actions from nearly 70yrs ago as appaling.

It would appear that although Dr Monagahan is supposed to be representing his constituents and working for the people of Caithness and Sutherland he would rather drag the memories of their former servicemen through the mud to keep one of the few broadcasters who give him airtime, Russia Today happy.

He's very real and seems to take every opportunity to denigrate this country in anyway he can. He spends an awful lot of time stoking up grievances from long gone times. I have yet to see him make a fanfare over anything positive he's done for,his constituents.

What we need is an MP who tirelessly works for us the people of Caithness and Sutherland addressing the real issues that are happening.

He could spend time working to improve NHS services and the lot of Caithness General Hospital but alas his party line says there is nothing wrong with the NHS so he does and says nothing when pressed on the issue.

He could spend time and effort trying to secure future work for all those employed at Dounreay and Vulcan but his party is anti Nuclear so he does and says nothing.

What he does do is lobby on behalf of Chagos and spend his days visiting the Middle East or giving interviews to Russia Today.

Ive watched him on Social Media wilfully ignore pertinent questions and just carry on, can anyone give me one instance where he has actually demonstrated that he has any coherent ideas or plans how to work for us in this area.

This goes beyond party politics this is about having someone who is prepared to work tirelessly for you the people supporting issues you the people face every day.

I thought a contituency MP worked for the interests of all his / her constituents first and foremost and its not that he holds ministerial responsibilities is it , he has been doing nowt in Easter Ross either : maybe he is lining up trade deals in Middle East that will benefit his turf....somehow I doubt it : surely people who voted SNP must now see and realise that this guy is on an out of control ego trip, although the fact people voted really was not for him but for the SNP per se. Lets hope sense prevails in the next election.

Maybe I should become a reporter broke this wee story a good 24hrs before the groat

Only problem for Dr Monaghan is it wasn't Labour Councillors making mischief for him as stated by the groat.

Inside sources tell me that Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority IPSA have received an official complaint from members of the public and are now dealing with it as a matter of urgency.

OK seem to have done this twice, BUT 'something' is going on, again my typing is moved to the start of sentence and my first post of this 'car fire' went up and was removed instantly; why? I've been on Org for many many years and know how to post! Just a thought it's NOT the 'Miserable User' hack again is it???
