Default Bat Walk, Castle of Mey Wednesday 16 September

Recently went on a bat walk with the rangers in the area I now live and it was really great and so interesting - 29 of us and 4 rangers, so informative and many different bats were seen and heard with the bat detectors.

Adults will enjoy it and the youngsters all loved it

Wish I was up north, would definitely be going.

It's weather dependent...if the weather is bad the bats won't be out.
The one at Latheron on the same night looks tempting too....it ends with hot choc and marshmallows!
The kids love going on the organised walks even though we have our own bat detector and can do it on our own....it is just a bit more fun in a group!
We do at least 1 bat walk with the rangers a year and they have all been good fun...some busier than others, but, a small group is no bad thing!
Life is too short to spend it in beige underwear!

Hope you get a good evening for the bat walk and hear and see plenty of different bats and discover how many midgies they eat every day.
