    Default Cant install windows on laptop

    i formated my laptop
    now the cd drive is playing up so it wont install xp
    i need a new cd drive but it costs about the same as the laptop
    is there anyway that i can install xp with out a cd drive

    Windows can be installed from a flash drive you'll just need a decent sized one (although you can condense windows from Microsoft's unreasonably large original) and someone with a working CD rom drive. Or borrow an external Cd rom drive.

    Yeah I'd go with an external USB CD-ROM drive - Ebuyer have external enclosures for just over £14 and a cheap CD-ROM drive would be just over £7 - making the total a tad over £21 plus P&P.
