Dubai is well known for having hundreds of abandoned erotic cars, the owners, mostly ex-pats, having fled the country when the credit crunch started to bite. Some of the cars had been bought on H.P. so would have been snatched back by the finance company, but Dubai's strict laws would have seen the buyers facing a possible jail sentence, so they flee the country. Many are abandoned at airports and docks with the keys left in the ignition and that's where they'll remain for months until the recovery company find them, and with Dubai's anti-theft laws there is no chance someone will take the car because its been abandoned.

Now I must be off, I have a flight to Spain to catch, there's a certain McLaren Mercedes looking for an owner ;-)
