Building houses in Halkirk

Does anyone know when people can start building houses in halkirk again?
Heard there was some kind of restriction on building unless you already had planning permission. Is it something to do with sewage problems?

I heard loads of people were 'house-sharing' nowadays in Halkirk, cutting down on the need to build more.

I seem to remember something about that, isn't it just new houses. Probably have to knock down an existing ramshackle one and build a new one to get round it.

I think the Halkirk sewage works is up to capacity, so until the new THurso works has been completed (within a yearI think) a moratorium on new planning permissions will remain.
