what spec pc have u got, what monitor do you have and do you know what wattage your psu is?
also what kind of money are you looking at spending?
It was fine just needing a few more options before i buy....
Budget is quite low unfortunately up to around £40 max maybe, unless its not far away..
The first card i showed you, RADEON® 9800 Pro it is a lot faster than the Sapphire Radeon 9550

Hi Orger,
I did a quick check and couldn't find any info on the clock speed of the 9550 but I'll take your word for it.
The 9800 is a great card but only has 128Mb RAM which is what put me off. The card you have just now also has 128Mb RAM and you said you were looking for something with more.
The Radeon 9550 is also a great card, has more memory and while I can't comment on the speed difference it is a brand new card with 1 year warranty and has 21 reviews on the eBuyer site.
That's why I was looking more at it - I prefer something that I know is a good card and has been tested by others, is widely supported and is good value for money. That is more important to me than having the latest and fastest hardware - I simply won't use the speed often enough to justify it. A lot of the games I've seen will use the memory though.
I'm not a hardware guru and I don't keep up with the latest kit. I recommend and supply complete systems and accessories rather than components. As I said to you I only pointed it out as this is the card I was looking at myself.
