If you haven't read the Highland Archive it is quite informative of the early years of music in Caithness - Northlands Rock - http://www.internet-promotions.co.uk/archives/
Not sure if I have linked you to this before - sorry if you've read it.
Maybe some of you already know about this site, I found it by accident and it is fascinating, its the website of a former 60's beat band from Thurso, check the picture on the front page, looks like Old St.Peters Kirk in Thurso. There is a video on the site of them playing in the Town Hall, a great biography and also mp3 audio files of their old practice tapes. I had a great time reading all this. Maybe some of the older members on here could tell some stories about this band.

I came across that site myself, a number of months ago. Although they were several years older than me, I do recognise a couple of the band members, and their names. Gleber2 would be the guy who could tell you more about Opium Trail and other Thurso bands of that era.
I am living for today, always remembering yesterday, and looking forward to tomorrow!
