    Default Monitor/res advice...

My monitor is capable of running higher resolutions than I`m currently using (1024x768) refresh rate 60hertz.

If I was to change to say (eg) 1152x864 res would I have to change the refresh rate from 60hertz?

Ifso what would be best to change it to?

I`ve measured the monitor size (diagonally... just the screen) and it`s a 16"

    Cheers.

You should really use a resolution which allows you to get a higher refresh rate, lower refresh rates can cause headache due to the flickering screen.

    I use 1280x1024 @ 85 Hertz, my monitor is a 21"

I'd check to see what resolutions you can use with 70 Hertz or more.

    Thanks...

Will check and see what the crack is with 70 Hertz...

    I may be back...
