    please please, can someone help, we have been given a ethernet/usb ADSL moden router, and we don't know how to connect it to our ADSL broadband connection

    the modem is a eTEC Ethernet/usb adsl modem router we dont know if we have been given the rong modem or not, if you could advise or help it would be great

    Could not find much information on the web regarding this.

    One link http://www.cazart.plus.com/conexant/ Explains how to configure the router, but is quite techincal.

    If you got this from an ISP might be worth while going back to them. Or try to find some one who has the same router and ask them regarding seting them up.

    I know from experience that the routers I have setup without software could only be accessed through the ethernet connection, USB will not work without drivers.

    This can be done by opening up internet exployer and typing 192.168.1.1 which inturn links to the router and a case of filling in the blanks. This works on BT Voyager and Draytec Routers, but may not work on the Etec Router.
