Thank you Caithness. It always feels like I have arrived home when I climb the hill from Berridale. The Christmas lights were a welcome sight as I wearily drove north to Thurso on Tuesday after my cold and wet experience on A9. Five hours is a long time to sit in the car at the side of the road in a snow storm. But Caithness has such warm welcoming arms that I soon recovered.
It was sad to have to leave again today. Everyone - be good to yourselves and to one another.
