Hawfinch

Just had a male hawfinch in our back garden. What a beautiful bird - gorgeous colours and so much larger than the normal finches we see. According to the bird book, we very lucky to see it as it's normally a very wary bird.

Fantastic, are you on the east coast? Quite a few unusual birds there this week. 2 Yellow-browed warblers in one garden.

Nice spot Iffy, I pop by there now and then (when I visit the dark side LOL) to scan the bay, had great views of otters and common seals there too.
