Infra red bulbs

Hi Everyone

A bit of an emergency. The infra red bulb in our pythons vivarium has blown and the spare bulb (which is new! ) isn't working either. The thermostat is fine. We can fix a heat mat to the roof of the viv short-term but we desperately need to get hold of an infra red bulb. Does anyone know where we can get one up here - we know Pets At Home don't have them.

Caithness Livestock supplies do them but I'm not sure if they'd be the right size for you. The other place I've seen them is the electrical shop up near the station in Thurso. Failing that, you could try Geddes and Allans of Gillock but again, they'd probably only have the big ones for heat lamps. There's a place on the industrial estate in Wick up near the Ambulance station too. As a last resort you could try Beggs. Hope this helps
