Thumbs up Fancy entering a float into Wick gala’s opening night procession?

Have you ever thought about entering a float into the Wick gala opening night procession? Then why not give it a go this year. This year’s procession is taking place on Saturday 23rd July and needs people like you to make it a night to remember.
Firstly, get a group of your friends, family, work colleagues or anyone who is up for a laugh to meet, discuss and agree a topic.
Secondly, contact one of your local haulage companies or farmers to see if they’d be prepared to help out with lorries, tractors, trailers and drivers.
Now the real work begins. There’s no denying that making a float can be time consuming but it’s great fun and doesn’t have to pull on the purse strings for props and outfits. Part of the fun is making everything from scratch from old materials lying around.
So come on, there’s still plenty time to get one started.

You have to register your float and pick up your collecting buckets / cans at the Assembly Rooms on the evening before the opening procession, Friday 22nd July 2011. The registration times are between 6 and 8 pm.
This year 10% of each floats collection will be donated to a charity of your choice, please inform us of which charity you would like when you register.
On the evening of the procession all floats should be at the Riverside at 6pm for judging.
