I wouldnt say its the best looking tartan i have seen.
What do you think of the Caithness Tartan?
I wouldnt say its the best looking tartan i have seen.
Kinda makes yer eyes go funny.
yuck!!! no bonnie at all
Live life to the full, you only get one chance so make it count
dont be to happy coz someone sure to shoot you down
Prefer "Flower Of Scotland" - a lot easier on the eye after a drink or two.
If you stand about 1 foot from the monitor, focus on a point and stare for 30 seconds, you can see a 3D image appear of Wick Harbour ...
Only kidding, it's quite subdued. Nice really. Just wouldn't want it on my sofa.
I don't find the Caithness tartan very appealing.
But I was fair taken by the McAllans Men in Kilts calendar. I'm thinking of doing a Szin in Kilts 2007 calendar.
I think it's a bit too close to the Burberry tartan and hence only suitable for Caithness Chav's
What are you favourite tartans? I have been enjoying playing with the tartan search thing on the McAllans website
Tartan & Clan Search
Tha Braveheart one is pretty cool, so is the plain black though I guess thats not really a tartan.
I am really impressed with the rest of the McAllans website as there is a lot of good stuff on there, it's good to see that a local business can make a good go of going global!
Not too sure if I like the Caithness tartan myself, one of my friends sons had a kilt made up in it, it actually looked quite good. It is supposed to incorporate all the colours of Caithness county, and as such may be worn by any Caithnessian, many of whom are not as lucky the Sinclairs, Gunns or Sutherlands, all of which have many variations of their particular clan tartan to choose from.
Live the Dream, don't dream the life
I don't think the Caithness tartan looks great in the pic, but I'm sure it would be nicer when actually worn. Great to have a look at the MacAllans website, as I didn't know they had one. Thanks for the link to it.
Sorry, its rank awful tartan imo
Now there's a scary thought - especially if we're all wearing the Caithness kilt. But brothers, if you thought that was a bit grimm, just wait...
I'm going ahead with my own fairytale calendar. I have the photographer, 12 money-spinning locations, and a brand-new set of 12 kilts - the trendy new ones that you don't iron. Hopefully, the calendar will be a goldmine. It's entitled Rumpledkiltszin 2007.
Don't forget it's not only the Scots wear kilts, other Celtic folk do too, see http://www.alanrichards.org/cornishtartan.htm - the National one's nice.
The use of kilts in Cornwall dates back several centuries.
(Don't worry I've got Scottish Blood too!)
