Buses from thurso - wick

Hi all,

My Gran is in hospital at the moment, and it is starting to cost us a fortune in fuel to get to the hospital and back each day.

Was wondering if anyone knew the times of the buses (and where they go from and where is closest to the hospital) and the costs?

Afternoon visiting times would be best, so getting to the hospital for 3pm and leaving again between 4-5pm

Not sure of the cost of a return ticket but you can buy a 4 week Caithness ticket for £80ish.

It' £4.70 return from Thurso to Wick. The bus gets you to Wick around 5 to 2 & leaves at 5.15pm.

Granny will hopefully be home on Thursday now, so might be able to stick to the car! Handy to have those links though - every time I searched I couldnt find a timetable!
