    Question Community Care - Wick

Does Anyone Have Any Idea How To Become Involved In Community Care In Wick, As A Carer?

Any Advice Would Be Much Appreciated.

Try some voluntary work as a starting point. My Brother in Law currently does this. It gives you the chance to gain experience and the people you work with can provide references to potential employers if that is your ultimate aim.

I ama director and committee member of the Laurandy Centre and we take on volunteers as well as paid staff to work with our elderly folk.

Phone Margaret Allen who is our manager of the centre and speak to her about what you wold like to do. If she does not require volunteers at present I am sure she would be happy to advise you on possible places or where to look if you are going to seek qualifications etc.
