Default Yellow pipes and building in Bowermadden?

Just wondering..the miles of yellow pipes that adorn the fields on the way to Thurso what are they going to be used for ?
Also a building puzzles me passing through Bowermadden on the way to Thurso on the left hand side its grey almost like a mini aircraft hanger ? Any one help ?

The pipes are being made for use as a subsea tieback to the Forties oil field (I think) and the building in Bower is Nicholson Engineering.

Subsea7's contribution to the county. I used to wonder what they were for too, but one thing is for sure, you cannot miss them taking over a good number of kilometers of the countryside.

Think it's supposed to be 3rd march. 6.7 km of pipe, should be interesting to see.
