    Default Abandoned!!

The 'wee' Scottish folk have now been abandoned by the retail multi's that are happy to take our cash in the fair weather.

The following GLOBAL MULTINATIONAL companies cannot get their goods from Carlisle to Gretna due to the weather!!!!! It's been a tropical 8c today!?

TESCO decide not to deliver their goods to Scotland!

BOOTS decide not to deliver their goods to Scotland!

CARPHONE WAREHOUSE decide not to deliver their goods to Scotland!

So go to TESCO & BOOTS and ask the store managers how they have any stock at all when we see lorry after lorry arriving to stock their shops but cannot deliver to Scotland?!! Better still, use local suppliers.

Tell me about it - I went to order some last minute Xmas pressies today. Took me all day to find something and when I did it was from Tesco Direct. "Great" I thought, "done at last!" only to be told that they cannot deliver to Scotland.

I have 4 parcels from Amazon in transit. Hope they get here in time!
I think they have a big depot in Greenock and another one in Glenrothes, so we should be ok...

Looks like for Christmas 2011 we will need to start buying in June or July. That way we will get them delivered while the weather is still OK.

Nothing to do with you Phill?
Eight people - including a pregnant woman and a 76-year-old man - have been injured in an explosion at a Tesco store in Greater Manchester.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke filling the store on Bolton Road in Walkden on Sunday afternoon.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said the surrounding areas were evacuated.
Initial reports suggest the explosion might have come from the bakery area when a pipe in a fridge burst. [hmmm]

These retail giants and the grubbiement are not going to be happy until we're all living in high rise flats in the south-east of England, .

I ordered my daughters prom dress from China last Sunday evening during the horrible weather and it was delivered to my door on Friday morning by the lovely AJG delivery van. Fair enough I paid extra to have it couriered quickly however normal delivery was being quoted at seven to fourteen days, not much more.

Kinda makes Tesco's Boots and others look very bad now doesn't it.

It was mini Changi's birthday on the 5th, still awaiting a couple of packages that were posted at least a week afore that.

No matter, it just means he is like royalty, and will get 2 birthdays lol.

    You are right...

Remote / rural postcodeStandard delivery, taking up to 8 working days, is available to the postcode ranges listed below. Large items ordered by 12noon on 10th December and standard items ordered by 12noon on 17th December will be delivered before Christmas.
    They only do: KW5. KW11-13. KW15. KW16-17 - that's a lot of places knackered..
