    Pray tell.... what is Ganset knitting? Fairisle and Arans I can do but have never heard of Ganset.

    A 'Gansey' is a seamans knitted sweater/jersey.....and keeps your 'Oxters' warm...sometimes worn over a 'Semit'.
    Gosh, I even know that!!

    Just Googled both - now I understand what they are. Gansey - type of aran in close knit. Semmit is what I know as a tank top or singlet.
