Halkirk TOW are Scottish Champions again.

A big well done to Halkirk Tug of War team who are Scottish Champions in 640kgs and 680kgs (second year running) and were runners up in 720kgs after a hard days pullling at the Scottish Championships at Stirling Games. They now represent Scotland at the UK championship in Ireland in August. A great weekend and well deserved wins - well done boys and good luck for Ireland.

You are bang on there pultneytooner! The Courier and Groat would much rather fill their back pages about tales of woe ragarding Wick Academy instead of writing about the other sports groups etc that do very well!!!!! If it wasnt for Ian Grant being a rugby fan and doing match reports, CRFC would probably hardly get a mention. Lets just hope that there is a good write up in this weeks paper as I dont think people appreciate just how much effort these guys put in.
