    Default Tennis courts in Thurso

    Great to see the council refurbishing the tennis courts in Thurso. They were getting a bit past it.

    But why oh why close them down for refurbishment just as the schools go on holiday and Wimbledon on the telly inspires youngsters to want to play?

    Couldn't this have been done in the winter?

    When Wimbledon is on, the tennis courts are usually full of kids.

    Was thinking the same thing when i saw them at it yesterday. Those courts are normally full of kids all summer. Pity they hadn't done it last week. At least they are tidying them up though. Painting is done so shouldn't be long now.

    My boys have been desperate to get to the courts since they got rackets for Easter. It's been a long refurbishment! Mind you, right before the Easter break the council took down the swings at the swing park by our house too...couldn't that be done outside holidays too?
