Strange experiences

We must all have had something really strange happen to us ..here's mine -

In the 1980s walking to work one day, around 8 am a Hot Air balloon was
in the sky above. It came nearer and nearer I could hear the swish of the air, I kept looking back. Then suddenly they fellow shouted "Grab the rope!"

We were in the middle of a city - a small triangle of grass dividing two busy roads with tall Victorian houses on both sides. Not much room to spare here.

"Grab the rope" he yelled again, so I set down my shopping bag and ran over to the grass and caught the rope. At close range the balloon was enormous and I'm only 5.1", I pulled and tugged and tried to guide it into the middle. Then they were safely down with a thump and busied themselves pulling in the rope and letting the air out.

I crossed the busy road and picked up my bag and set off for work - no more was ever heard of my experience!

Walking to work is a hazard - first I took pity on a kitten the bin men found in a litter bin, then I found a pet rabbit - later when I saw another pet rabbit whilst on my work I simply looked at it and said "I didn't see you".
