    Default Losing log in

Does anyone else suffer this problem? If I type a posting of more that 3 or 4 lines long I find that I cannot post it.. that I have to log in again. It seems to be time related. I have had a look at my UserCP settings and cannot find anything relating to time. Drives me nuts - I have to copy my entry so that I can post it back in if I do lose my log in.

There - it just happened again. This time I was logged off when I was reading Highlander's Bird Watching bit.

Hi, Niall. Thanks again. I have checked my pop-up allowances on both my lappie and my desktop. They both allow www.caithness.org and forum.caithness.org. However, what I have done is go further and put the forum reply and quote reply in the allowed filter as well. Time will tell. It is curious that the same thing is happening on both machines. Perhaps it might be my signal strength or the rather antique BT wire coming down from the house connection - something I intend to replace with brand spanking new next time it stops raining. The final step might be to get BT to raise the gain of my signal.

There we go - it happened again with reply of this length.

The same thing happens to me ever since I loaded an update for zonealarm firewall. I have to use IE5 now instead of AOL's browser which doesn't seem to be effected by the upgrade.

Now there's interesting - I have just seen that even though I appeared to lose the link my post did go. That hasn't happened before.

I do this anyway as I frequently take a while when composing many of my posts. Saves a lot of hassle for the sake of a quick Ctrl + A followed by Ctrl + C - takes a fraction of a second!

I know what you mean. I just find things so frustrating when they don'y work properly.
