But do I care enough about the spelling police to even try it?

However it does depend on what browser & version you are using...

Okay, so you don't care about the spelling police, but would you not like to make sure your post is 100% understood and unambiguous?
Also be careful of American English spell checkers and also of words corrected, um, incorrectly.

I actually care a whole lot about spelling, grammar and punctuation but I've never been a member of the Spelling Police.

This is very true bob.

This works using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, not sure about others.

It actually still depends on what add-ons you have added and enabled.

I never correct someones use of dialect, pronounciation or spelling (except in school, of course ;)). It is all part of the cultural richness in which we live. Otherwise we would all speak plummy, yah! Mind you, I call a pavement a sidewalk and pronouce 'tomawto' as 'tomayto'. Someone going to correct my cultural difference?

Should we be telling someone that it isn't pomme de terre, but a spud? Or should that be a potato / potatoe?
