Everytime I go online I end up with a whole load of what my computer calls emouds plastered along the bottom of the task bar.
These emouds are just sdvertising such as william hill, shopping etc etc.
How do I stop them? I never used to get any but a few months ago they just seemed to start coming thick and fast and they're doing my head in.

Any ideas?

Ah porshiepoo methinks u need to get something to clear out some of the rubbish that has been installed without your knowledge on your computer.

(Of course you dont mention what OS ur are using XP - VISTA - WINDOWS7).

Have a search in this section you will get many recommendations of free "tools" which can do this job for you.

One example - CCcleaner - www.ccleaner.com/ (http://www.ccleaner.com/) - everybody has their own favourite things to so this job.

Undoubtedly dx100uk or Bobinovich will suggest a couple more wee gadgets that will rid you of these annoyances.

The perils of browsing I am afraid.

urm..
i suspect you might well be the victim of a few unwelcome nasties.

if CCleaner does not help.

i'd really be inclined to download and install
microsoft security essentials.

and do a full scan

keep us informed.

ps you will not need any other anti virus nor anti spyware prog om your system once this is on, so dont worry if it asks to uninstall you paid for progs.

Thanks for those. I'll give em a try.
I do have a free Regseeker on my computer which does a registry scan and clean. Is this not the same thing?

let me investigate regseeker

[use the ccleaner one under tools]

[but you wont need too if you run MSE!]

I've run the CC cleaner so I'm waiting to see if anything pops up below.

I had a look in my Firewall and in the exceptions bit there are a few things ticked. Would this cause a problem?
The exceptions are Utorrent, Firefox, Remote Assistance & Upnp Framework.

I am on windows XP.

Yay! It seems to have worked. Thanks guys!
I got rid of Regseeker and now have ccleaner and I got rid of AVG and now have MSE.
Brilliant, no more annoying emouds - stoopid name too.

Have done and it found a Trojan. All safe and secure now though. :)
