Invisible

By the mountains and the shores,
And the sights that I adore,
The track the train journey's on,
What I miss, when I am gone
Back up the road, through wee towns,
Familiar sights reverse my frown,
A welcome wave from locals I pass,
It seems, I'm home at last
I left for the work but would stay for the craic,
As when down south this land calls me back,
Strangers push and shove your around,
Back home they would help you up from the ground
City life, it's not for me,
No clean air, so sights to sea,
When away, I am less,
Because my heart will be always in Caithness
And the sights that I adore,
The track the train journey's on,
What I miss, when I am gone
Back up the road, through wee towns,
Familiar sights reverse my frown,
A welcome wave from locals I pass,
It seems, I'm home at last
I left for the work but would stay for the craic,
As when down south this land calls me back,
Strangers push and shove your around,
Back home they would help you up from the ground
City life, it's not for me,
No clean air, so sights to sea,
When away, I am less,
Because my heart will be always in Caithness
