Autumn / Winter Visitors.

This late Autumn has been very good so far for our larger visitors, flocks of Whooper Swans of 300+, large skeins of Greylags and Pinkfeet numbering into the several thousands, have made it well worthwhile to go out and look for them. The daily coming and going of the Greylags from Orkney is fairly predictable, as are the local evening roosts that build up daily on some of our large lochs.

Great shots, also been watching the flocks of geese and was delighted by the number of hoopers that were around a few weeks back.Just wish my pictures were as good as yours.

Happened upon a superb flock of some 600+ Greenland Whitefront Geese at Noss this afternoon.

Awesome sight that I never tire of seeing year after year.

Any other geese sightings lately?? Keep them coming.
