I recently got my keyboard out the loft to have a bash at some Sigur Ros.

Unfortunately its ancient, and the battery terminal thingies were rusted and managed to snap off when I was changing the batteries...

Who the heck can fix this sort of thing?

WILL THE ORG SAVE ME???

Just buy a midi controller keyboard and some kind of soft synth program for your pc. No doubt the sigur ros sounds are all sampled and ready to use anyway.

Not particularly. You could get a midi controller which is just a keyboard without any on-board sounds quite cheap from studiospares or digital village and there are loads of synth programs like Reason, reaktor or even the free cubase that have pretty good synth sounds to play about with.

You need a soundcard with a midi input on your pc or laptop though.

Alternatively does it not have a mains adapter socket? If so then you just need buy a mains adapter and say bye to batteries :)

Might have a battery box lying about, what size of battery and how many does it take?

Please don't cover Sigur Rós, you'll just make me hate them.
