Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this. Apologies if not.

I'm assisting to organise an award event called "The Outstanding Young Person's Awards", recognising deserving young (18-40) people from all over Scotland in the following categories:

1. Business, Economic and/or entrepreneurial accomplishment;
2. Political, legal and/or governmental affairs;
3. Academic leadership and/or accomplishments;
4. Cultural achievement;
5. Moral and/or environmental leadership;
6. Contribution to children, world peace and/or human rights;
7. Humanitarian and/or environmental leadership;
8. Scientific and or/environmental leadership;
9. Personal improvement;
10. Medical innovation.

Awards like these all too often focus on those within the central belt and we're trying to get more exposure across the country, so thought I'd highlight it you to all incase you were aware of anyone (local or indeed otherwise) who would be deserving of such an award.

The Scotland awards in 2005 were presented by Jack McConnell at a gala dinner in Edinburgh, and winners this year at world level will be invited (expenses paid) to Seoul in South Korea to receive their award.

Some info on the Scotland wide program, including nomination forms here: http://jciedinburgh.org.uk/toyp/ including details of the two 2005 winners who went on to win at world level. More info on the worldwide program here: http://www.jci.cc/programs/

If you would like any more info please get in touch.
