My Name is Michael Pridgeon and I am the Great Grandson of Isabelle Swanson born 23rd April 1895 in Murckle although I understand she also lived in Thurso and was married to John James Mackay born in 1886 and died 3rd March 1921.

Isabelle Swanson was the daughter of Peter Swanson born 25/06/1848 and died 08/12/1930, Olrig and Jessie Nicolson born 1858, died 1922 Halkirk. Isabelle also had the following siblings David Swanson born 1890, Ben Swanson born 1899, died 19/04/1917, John Swanson born 1893, died 13/11/1916, James Swanson born 1901 emigrated to Australia, Alex Swanson born 1899 and emigrated to Perth Australia, Peter Swanson born 1887, Catherine Swanson born 1880, George Swanson born 1882, Elizabeth Swanson born 1885 and William Swanson born 1884.

In addition Peter Swanson born 1848 was the son of George Swanson born 12th December 1809 and Elizabeth Nicolson born 1816 (Dunnet) in addition to Peter they had another son David Swanson born 2nd November 1840.

I think George Swanson was the son of Henry Swanson and Ann Manson.

I am interested in hearing from anyone with information on my family members from both Swanson and Mackay sides of the family particularly any family members currently in Australia or information on family who emigrated to Australia.
