Was at the Mill Theatre in Thurso last night for the Celtic Cousins musical evening, wasn't sure what to expect but what a great night it was.

It started with the Feisean nan Gaidheal Ceilidh Traill Group a very talented bunch of youngsters, next was Calum Stewart and his worldwide friends they were fantastic and finally Tread, who have toured with the Cheiftans for some years, their music and dance was exhilarating. The musical talents of all taking part was amazing.

Thank you to the organisers for such a great night.

Tread are fantastic, and great to see Blas aren't ignoring the Far North. Indeed, I can only wish Blas put more gigs in Caithness.

Speaking of Blas, just because they're putting on a lot of music in the Highlands & Islands, it doesn't give them the right to stop others from doing so, thus ensuring audiences - and, more importantly, money - is going to them, and them only.

We are lucky enough to be able to see some of the best Gaelic, Scottish and international talent on our own doorstep.
