The great man died today. Recordists and guitarists owe him gratitude.

I carry his name into every gig or recording session. He had a good innings... I bet he played a gig on Monday night.

You knows it. He was a working musician right til the end.

The man was a bona fide genius, and light-years ahead of his time.

RIP.

My all time favourite guitarist!!!! His best music can be found on recordings made between 1933 and 1944 with his own bass, piano and guitar trio. Phenomenal playing and this was before he made his name for inventions and production and before he got married to Mary Ford. This was also before he smashed his right arm in a moror accident. In his nineties and still playing!!
A great loss.
